Capitalism really didn’t start out as a bad system. In fact, it was originally designed as a way to create more good for people. To understand this, one has to look back into the nature of the hierarchy of colonial nations prior to the 19th century. At this time, world powers tended to stick with royal economic system where everyone already had a defined identity from birth, and there was little to no way anyone could break out of that identity. Any efforts to produce anything new or inventive must be sanctioned by the Queen or some royalty. The pushback generated in angst against this eventually resulted in the constitution of the United States and other countries, aided by the easy colonization of new lands. This constitution emphasized freedom in particular as its founding and defining principle. And, over the years, it is this freedom that has allowed the nation to create several astonishing discoveries, technologies, and inventions that have advanced the world. Bound to this ideology of freedom, was also the ideology of capitalism and free market. Anyone could rise from anywhere and do anything creative using any set of opportunities.
